Recently, six ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly released the list of 2025 Outstanding Smart Factories. Yichang Renfu Pharmaceutical was successfully selected for its “Smart Factory for Intelligent Management of Narcotic and Psychotropic Drugs” project.
The “Excellent-Level Smart Factory” is a national-level honor jointly recognized by six government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Data Administration. It aims to commend benchmark enterprises whose intelligent manufacturing capabilities have reached domestically leading levels.
The Yichang Renfu “Smart Control and Intelligent Factory for Narcotic and Psychotropic Drugs” project deeply integrates next-generation information technologies such as AI, F5G, edge computing, industrial internet, and big data-driven intelligent decision-making. By integrating core business systems—including MES, SAP, LIMS, WMS, and TMS—with data analytics platforms like SCADA and PI, the project has established a closed-loop management system that enables real-time collection, monitoring, analysis, and optimization of production data across the entire process. The project covers seven key areas: factory construction, product R&D, process design, production management, production operations, supply chain management, and operational management. It has innovatively developed 18 typical application scenarios, including 7 AI-based scenarios, accounting for 38% of the total. This project sets a benchmark for the digital and intelligent transformation of the narcotic and psychotropic drugs and pharmaceutical industries.
Previously, the company’s 5G smart factory was successfully included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “2025 5G Factory Catalog.” The factory has developed several distinctive application scenarios, including 5G+machine vision-based quality inspection, 5G+remote equipment maintenance, and 5G+AGV intelligent dispatching. These applications enable low-latency collaboration and high-precision control across production processes. The factory’s innovative model has been recognized as a typical case of 5G application in Hubei Province’s pharmaceutical industry, laying a solid foundation for its recent designation as an “Excellent-Level Smart Factory.”
In the future, the company will continue to deepen its digital transformation, promote the deep integration of green manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, and contribute to the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry.
