Recently, Yichang Renfu Pharmaceutical received the “Drug Registration Certificate” for Midazolam Maleate Tablets issued by the National Medical Products Administration. This is the first product approved by Yichang Renfu Pharmaceutical in 2025. The product was approved for marketing under Category 4 of chemical drugs and is deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation.
Midazolam maleate is a short-acting benzodiazepine central nervous system depressant. The approved indications for this drug include sleep disorders and insomnia, making it particularly suitable for individuals experiencing difficulty falling asleep as well as for preoperative or pre-diagnostic procedure sedation. In October 2023, Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical submitted a marketing authorization application for midazolam maleate tablets to the National Medical Products Administration and received acceptance of the application. This approval further enriches Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical’s product portfolio, and its subsequent market launch will have a positive impact on the company.
