Recently, Yichang Renfu Pharmaceutical received the “Notice of Approval for Supplementary Drug Application” approved and issued by the National Medical Products Administration, granting approval for the introduction of a 10mg dosage strength of oxycodone hydrochloride extended-release tablets to the market.
Oxycodone hydrochloride is a pure opioid receptor agonist with relative selectivity for μ receptors, and it can be used to relieve persistent moderate to severe pain.
Yichang Renfu Pharmaceutical’s oxycodone hydrochloride extended-release tablets (40mg) were approved for marketing in September 2022. This approval now includes an additional 10mg dosage strength. In March 2023, the company submitted a supplemental application to the National Medical Products Administration for the new dosage strength of oxycodone hydrochloride extended-release tablets and received acceptance of the application.
The newly added specifications of oxycodone hydrochloride extended-release tablets enrich the company’s product lineup, better meet clinical needs, enable more rational drug use, and help the company further enhance its market competitiveness.
