On February 15, Renfu Pharmaceutical issued an announcement stating that the paravir injection developed by its controlling subsidiary, Renfulikang Pharmaceutical, has been accepted by the CDE after being submitted as a Class 3 generic drug application. To date, Renfulikang Pharmaceutical has cumulatively invested approximately 6 million yuan in this project. According to data from MeneNet, in 2021, sales of paravir injection at the terminal level in China’s public medical institutions exceeded 400 million yuan, and in the first half of 2022, sales grew by more than 50% year-on-year.
Peramivir is a neuraminidase inhibitor that selectively inhibits the neuraminidase of influenza A and influenza B viruses in humans, and is indicated for infections caused by either influenza A or influenza B viruses.

Prior to this, 20 companies—including Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, Hainan Hulusawa Pharmaceutical Group, Sinopharm Rongsheng Pharmaceutical, and Qilu Pharmaceutical (Hainan)—had already submitted applications for generic Class 3 drugs based on the original Paravir injection, making the competition extremely fierce.
Renfu Pharmaceutical stated that the application for Paravir injection has been accepted, marking the entry of this product’s domestic manufacturing drug registration into the review and approval stage. The company will actively advance subsequent related work. If the review and approval process is successfully completed, it will enrich the company’s product portfolio and help enhance its market competitiveness. As of now, Renfu Pharmaceutical has six approved products in the field of systemic antiviral drugs, including Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets and Entecavir Tablets.
