Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly announced the "List of Pilot Demonstration Factories and Outstanding Scenarios for Intelligent Manufacturing in 2021." Among them, Xinjiang Uygur Pharmaceutical’s two typical scenarios—“Advanced Process Control” and “Dynamic Optimization of Process Flows/Parameters”—were recognized as outstanding scenarios for intelligent manufacturing in 2021.

Xinjiang Uyghur Pharmaceutical’s “Advanced Process Control Solution” is designed specifically for the extraction and production of traditional Chinese medicinal materials. It features a flexible control system composed of multiple extraction tanks, a state-of-the-art S7-1500 process control system from Germany’s Siemens, and CTN Control software. By deploying this advanced automation control system, the company has strengthened its research and continuous improvement of product processes, increasing production capacity by three times. The system enables effective control of parameters such as temperature and flow rate, thus ushering in a new “intelligent + technology” manufacturing model and laying the foundation for a fully intelligent application model in Uyghur pharmaceutical production.

Xinjiang Uyghur Pharmaceutical boasts eight modern production lines. This “process flow/parameter dynamic optimization scenario” is specifically designed for granulation production and employs one-step granulation technology, utilizing advanced equipment such as high-efficiency one-step granulators and multi-column granule filling integrated production lines. The automated production line comprises eight sequential steps—including fluid-bed granulation, particle selection, and total blending—enabling a threefold increase in granulation capacity. It has established a scientific and precise process flow, comprehensively ensuring drug quality.
